In January we told you how our buddy TBASA was doing acoustic nights every Wednesday under the moniker “TBASA’s LoFi All-Stars.” In March the club that hosted it intermittently over several years, the Benbow Room in West Seeattle, announced they were closing.
Andy Bookwalter – After a healthy breakfast of stale donuts, protein bars and coffee I had four hours to kill before gates opened for day 2 of this year’s Sasquatch music festival. The line for the shower probably would have taken that long, but that’s what baby wipes are for.
Andy Bookwalter – This year I tried something unorthodox: I brought a notebook and some pens on my Sasquatch press assignment so that I could, you know, “pay attention to stuff” and “take notes” and whatnot.
Stephanie Dore – When you’re from the pacific northwest, the question isn’t whether you’re in a band, but how many, and it seemed the second annual installment of the Fisherman’s Village Music Festival aimed to prove it.
It was nice to see the Tractor Tavern, one of the city’s best mid-sized clubs that hosts droves of great touring acts, play host to three local bands on a Saturday night. The place was packed early and stayed packed all night.
