Of the many annual year-end NadaMucho.com lists, “Favorite Songs” is created with the simplest formula: we ask our writers and photographers to tell us a few of their favorite songs of the year, I alphabetize them and pick a few to embed, and we’re off to the races.
Matt Ashworth – OK, yeah. We get it. You’re mad that you’re favorite band isn’t on this list. We’re sure they deserve it. In fact, we acknowledge that the very existence of this list implies omissions; there are a lot of great bands in Seattle.
As we pored through Marco’s carefully curated list of the 35 Best Seattle Records of 2014 over the last few weeks like everyone else in town who cares about music, we had visiting many of our favorites from throughout the yea,r including Cataldo, Hi-Tek Low-lives & Hobosexual, Perfume Genius and Graig Markel.

Holy smokes what a year for music. 119 albums received votes from more than 20 NadaMucho.com contributors. Debates were had. Opinions were expressed. Sacrifices were made. And now, without further ado, we present the glorious, sprawling mess that is our favorite 37 records released in 2014.
