Tim Basaraba – Over the last few years, my theater ritual has included getting the middle seat in the back row. It started as way to limit my exposure to people coughing behind me but turned out to provide an interesting vantage point for gaining new perspective on the American theatre going experience.
Oh, January. You’re the saddest of months for film releases. The month when studios unload the projects they don’t care about with little or no marketing support. Poor January. January 2023 doesn’t need our sympathy, though, because the year’s first film is a fun, entertaining and utterly ridiculous horror flick about a child’s AI doll coming to life and killing people.
Peter Cameron – Life almost never gives us what we want. It bitters our hearts. We stuff those bitter hearts into cities and towns and, with The Banshees of Inisherin, Martin McDonagh stuffs them onto an island in the Irish Sea.
Tim Basaraba – Some people like to show off. Some people like to show off their skills. I presume Kenneth Branagh fits in the latter category.
At the tender age of 29, this actor became a director. His first feature film? Oh just a simple tale called Henry V, a project that earned him a nomination in both the Best Actor and Best Director categories.
