“Earplugs,” I say to the dad next to me asking if his kid can get right in the front, as said kid nervously jams his tiny fingers into his tiny ears in fear that it might be too loud. But this kid is going for it, wanting to be right next to the stage where all the action is.
Tacocat and Sallie Ford co-headlined the last night of their tour December 13 at Neumos and it was an honor to welcome back one of our own, Tacocat. Sallie Ford is close though, hailing from our sister city, Portland.
At times this year’s 107.7 “The End”-sponsored event was as corny as its name—schticks between sets by the station’s DJs, the sugary-est of pop music on the planet—but you know, when you just let yourself laugh and dance along, it’s kind of fun.
Walking into the Paramount to shoot the Odesza concert Dec. 6, I knew this was big. The fact that the duo, consisting of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight managed to sell out four shows told me that much. But it wasn’t until I was inside did I realize just how big ODESZA is these days.
