Eric Tra – In a span of only several years CHVRCHES has risen to a cult-like status among their growing fan-base. Their music features strong, rhythmic pop anthems making it no surprise that this UK trio, led by their fearless front woman Lauren Mayberry, has risen to the upper echelons of pop rock fame.
Jason Murray – I wanted to see Chicago MC Saba, who’s been touring much of 2018 with members of his family, because of his grassroots evolution into music industry and overall positivity. When I caught his set back in May it featured his cousin Jean Deaux and brother Joseph Chilliams as openers.
Victoria Holt – I first saw Blood Orange at Coachella in 2014 after a random person highly recommended them. I was photographing the festival that year and had been told that they were great performers who’d make for great shots. I loved their moves and fell heavily in love with the music, too.
Maurice Harnsberry – Miguel returns to Seattle on Wednesday as part of his “Ascension Tour” with opener DVSN. It’s been a busy year for the Los Angeles native, with the Ascension Tour coming on the heels of his sold-out Spring tour in early April and a host of high-profile festival appearances over the summer.
Lindsey Potter – Is it possible to do Bumbershoot wrong? The answer is probably “no” and yet it feels like I keep making mistakes. I would like to emphasize that I always have a good time, but I cannot help but shake the thought that I am Bumbershoot-ing incorrectly.
