Todd Terry – It is hard to believe that the summer of Barbenheimer is edging toward the sunset as Labor Day, and the much-anticipated return of Bumbershoot, looms on the very immediate horizon. In my role as citizen journalist, and honorary member of the Riptide Detective Agency, I will be taking some time away from thinking up clever tribe names for my Survivor Fantasy League to check out some culture on a Saturday in September.

Todd Terry – What’s in a name? If your name is “Bumbershoot,” possibly a poor man’s portmanteau of umbrella and parachute and a ton of history. The storied Seattle music and arts festival recently announced the music lineup for their 50th anniversary and needless to say, the stakes are high.

Todd Terry – On a cold Tuesday night, my wife Jessica and I went to see Wolf Parade, or as they are known in our household, Woof Parade, at the Showbox. I was not planning on covering the show for Nada Mucho so I did not take any notes, but the next morning word came down from HQ that they would like some amateurish words to go with their professionally shot photos.
