Todd Terry – I went to my first Bumbershoot a few months after moving to Seattle in 1996. For a mere $10 I saw sets by Sex Pistols, Combustible Edison, Goldfinger, Mudhoney, and MxPx on a sunny Friday. I have been to Bumbershoot nearly every year since, and needless to say, in the year of our lord 2018, it is a very different animal than it was back then.
Lindsey Potter – In June, I experienced a couple of musical firsts. My first time seeing Laura Veirs and my first visit to Fremont Abbey. For singer/songwriter Laura Veirs, it was the first tour stop promoting her 2018 album The Look Out.
Stephanie Oster – Anyone who is even the smallest fan of electronic music, has Gary Numan to thank. He made synthesizers a household name with the incredible 1979 release, The Pleasure Principle, and he continually pushes the boundaries of instrumantation, composition, and live performance. His latest album, Savage, is a dark, dystopian, gothy, synthy pop treat.
Jake Hanson – Aussie psych-rockers POND swept through Seattle following a stellar performance at this year’s Desert Daze festival, recently relocated from the Joshua Tree to a beautiful beachfront location at Lake Perris, just an hour outside of LA.
Jason Murray – Chicago DJ Whethan brings his talent’s and good times vibe to Seattle tonight as part of his “Life as a Wallflower Tour” with openers Alexander lewis and Flower Yoshi.
