This year, our intrepid Sasquatch one man media node, Grandpa Andy Bookwalter, will be flanked by two other wonderful NadaMucho.com contributors he doesn’t really know when he’s enjoying and describing this year’s festival at the Gorge Amphitheater. The three of them will provide updates on their own social media handles as well as our Instagram, Flickr and Twitter pages.
Graham Isaac – On Friday, Scott Hutchison was found dead on the banks of the Forth river in Scotland. In 2008, his band Frightened Rabbit released the song “Floating in the Forth” in which the narrator– realistically Hutchison– contemplates suicide by jumping into the Forth river. The song concludes with him deciding to live: “I’ll save suicide for another year.”
Maurice Harnsberry – I’m a huge Miguel fan but had never seen him live, so I jumped at the chance to shoot his recent show in Seattle. The show opened with the crowd matching the mellow vibe of the L.A.-based singer and producer’s music, but got a bit more active when the performance peaked on songs like “Skywalker” and “How Many Drinks.”
Maurice Harnsberry – I set out to photograph G-Eazy’s recent performance at the Showare Center near Seattle with a bit of skepticism. I’m not what you’d call a “big fan,” but so many of my friends are, so I decided to see if a live performance would win me over. And it worked.
Lance Sobotka – We’ve all listened to an album that changed the way we perceived society, government or the very fabric of reality itself. Pretend We’re Alone, the new EP from Trick Candles…is not that album.
