Highly Pretentious: My Morning Jacket at McCaw Opera House
Barry Vail – My Morning Jacket’s twenty-five song set at McCaw Hall last month was sometimes epic, but at all times pretentious. Maybe it was the Opera House setting?

Chris Klepac – The last day of Bumbershoot – a pleasantly breezy day drifting from sunny to overcast. The crowds, while heavy in places, are sparse compared to earlier days, and everyone here has the mellow, slightly bleary good cheer that comes at the end of a long, debauched weekend.
Matt Brown – The best thing about Bumbershoot this year? All twelve minutes or so of Monotonix’s set.
Kyle Kauzlarich – In classic KOZ Moreawesomer style, here is a short diatribe about Sunday’s experiences at Bumbershoot 2008. I won’t bore you with excerpts about how the 16 and under crowd doesn’t understand/follow concert etiquette (say excuse me and buy your own damn cigarettes), or complain about how long the lines for the bathroom were (hey chumps at the Honey Bucket, the indoor bathrooms NEVER have lines).
Sybil Rohlf – On Saturday Matt and I took the girls to Bumbershoot, Seattle’s yearly music festival. I hadn’t been since Iris, now four, was just over a year old. I don’t even remember who we saw that year, only one performance, but we had a hell of a time getting home on several different buses in the pouring rain.
