Tim Basaraba – Having not seen any of Todd Haynes’ previous films, I had the rare pleasure of being unfamiliar with a director’s work upon sitting down in the theater for his 2019 thriller Dark Waters. This was refreshing and also a bit frustrating.

Tim Basaraba – When Murder on the Orient Express arrived in theaters two years ago with its amazing ensemble cast, it looked like the Whodunit genre may be the next big moneymaking Hollywood retread. Unfortunately, the execution of the film fell flat, even with the amazing cast and competent director Kenneth Branagh.
Camille Nibungco – It’s the year 2020 and Elon Musk dropped his own viral Soundcloud song, symbolically marking the end of the DIY ethos for electronic music. However, Autograf’s show at the Crocodile in Seattle on Feb. 8 changed my perspective and offered a glimmer of hope for the genre.
Tim Basaraba – Paul Walter Hauser was a huge stand out in the great I, Tonya (2017), playing Shawn Ecardt, an overweight, delusional momma’s boy. Now, with the help of director Clint Eastwood, he had a chance to play the same character, albeit in different circumstances in Clint Eastwood’s 2019 film Richard Jewell
