Graham Isaac – On Friday, Scott Hutchison was found dead on the banks of the Forth river in Scotland. In 2008, his band Frightened Rabbit released the song “Floating in the Forth” in which the narrator– realistically Hutchison– contemplates suicide by jumping into the Forth river. The song concludes with him deciding to live: “I’ll save suicide for another year.”

Maurice Harnsberry – I’m a huge Miguel fan but had never seen him live, so I jumped at the chance to shoot his recent show in Seattle. The show opened with the crowd matching the mellow vibe of the L.A.-based singer and producer’s music, but got a bit more active when the performance peaked on songs like “Skywalker” and “How Many Drinks.”

Maurice Harnsberry – I set out to photograph G-Eazy’s recent performance at the Showare Center near Seattle with a bit of skepticism. I’m not what you’d call a “big fan,” but so many of my friends are, so I decided to see if a live performance would win me over. And it worked.

Paul Broderson – This morning the Capitol Hill Block Party announced a partial lineup for their 2018 version of their yearly music and arts festival, their 22nd. Keeping with its theme of showcasing a mix of local and national emerging talent alongside often-excellent headliners, returning to the event this year will be Sub Pop Recording Artist and local mini-celeb Father John Misty, the latest project from J. Tillman.
