Todd Terry – On a cold Tuesday night, my wife Jessica and I went to see Wolf Parade, or as they are known in our household, Woof Parade, at the Showbox. I was not planning on covering the show for Nada Mucho so I did not take any notes, but the next morning word came down from HQ that they would like some amateurish words to go with their professionally shot photos.
Camille Nibungco – It’s the year 2020 and Elon Musk dropped his own viral Soundcloud song, symbolically marking the end of the DIY ethos for electronic music. However, Autograf’s show at the Crocodile in Seattle on Feb. 8 changed my perspective and offered a glimmer of hope for the genre.
Eric Tra – Post-hardcore rockers Alexisonfire and punk legends The Distillers joined forces this past weekend at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo on their final night of their short, but sweet, five show tour. As an added bonus, Sunday’s show also featured some familiar faces—Monsterwatch (#41for2017) a local hard rock outfit began the night with some brutal, dizzying riffs off of their Zot EP.
Kym Buzdygon – What better way to spend October than on a motherfucking boat in the middle of the motherfucking ocean with pop icon Kesha? Add in appearances by K. Flay, Big Freedia and pop duo Aly and AJ with more artists to be announced, not to mention a tropical island destination, and the answer is…”nothing.” There is nothing better than being on a motherfucking boat with Kesha.
