Eric Tra – After 16 years, Minus the Bear said goodbye last month, ending their farewell tour with three shows at their hometown Showbox Theater in Seattle. The band’s stamp on Seattle’s music scene will be remembered by their unique and intricate finger tapping and energetic live performances.
Maurice Harnsberry – UK artist Nao came to Seattle on her second stop of her Saturn tour and I it was the best rip I’ve been on in awhile. For a relatively new artist, it was great to see everyone at the Showbox singing along to her songs, word for word.
Andy Bookwalter – I accidentally went to a music festival the other day. Rather, I meant to go, I just didn’t expect to really go. Certainly I had no plans to put pants on AGAIN, as I’d already transitioned into the sweatpants phase of the day. But, my love for Actionesse is that pure love that only exists between a 50 year old man and a much younger rock and roll band, and Actionesse was headlining.
Andrew Lowe – “It was weird… but I liked it.” That was the most common phrase I heard at my first Shit Ghost show. I couldn’t agree more.
Maurice Harnsberry – Memphis MC Young Dolph came to Seattle to start his “Role Model” tour and I must say…I’ve witnessed the floors rumble at the Showbox before but I have not felt them shake like they did on January 5.
